The Italian chapter: Taormina

Taormina, Sicily, Italy

10 Days filled with pasta, gelato, vespa’s, sun and the cute streets of Taormina; could it sound any better?

I went to Taormina for 10 days together with my beloved family. Taormina is a charming little town in Sicily. The heart of Taormina is full of pasta restaurants, photogenic houses with the cutest balconies and so many kind people. Every detail in this town made it the most romantic place I have ever been. And for the shopaholics: you can find some high-end fashion stores between the many souvenirshops, such as Parisi and Valentino.  So, if you find yourself visiting Sicily, make sure you visit Taormina.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Atlantis Bay. This hotel has the perfect welcoming home, because of the sweet staff. There is direct access to the sea and the breakfast was to die for. Everything was perfect so I could really recommend this hotel to everyone who is thinking about an holiday in Taormina.

The little island of Isola Bella is a must see. It’s a little island where you can have lunch or where you can go diving or supping. The atmosphere is very relaxed, eventhough the island is a little crowded. It’s also the perfect place to take some photos, because of the picturesque view of the crystal clear sea surrounded by the flowers on the island.

A reed bag, a flattering colorful dress and a straw hat are the perfect accessoiries to bring with you for a trip in Italy.
